Welcome!

Megan and Baby Miller at 24 weeks
September 2007

Welcome to our family blog...

Yeah!! We are excited to begin sharing pictures of our growing family! Our first baby is expected to arrive December 31, 2007. A little boy!!! I feel great and baby is healthy and very active!! I am now headed into week 30...only 10 to go! I hope to post pictures of the 20 week ultrasound soon, but have been having some technical difficulties... He has very long legs (taking after Daddy) and the cutest little toes : ).

We have a lot of work to do to get ready for his arrival! So it's been great that this year that I am working part time! I love my new job and my new schedule! Mike agrees that this is the most relaxed he's ever seen me during the school year, which tell me he likes my new job too!

We are doing great! We are excited to meet our little boy sometime on or around (my personal choice is before) New Year's Eve and I can't wait to share his arrival with friends and family!!

The Past Year...

This picture is from our vacation in April 2007 to Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It was wonderful!!!

2006 to 2007

Mike and I have been very busy over the past year!! After our move back to Cincinnati we settled into an adorable little cape cod house in our hometown of Madeira. Mike began work at GE and I was very blessed to find a job teaching First Grade at Willowville Elementary School. The market for teachers in the area is tight, but God had a perfect plan in mind. At the end of the year I lost my job due to budget cuts, but my principal was able to find a position for me within the school for this year (2007/2008) as the part time Reading Specialist. It just happened to be a perfect fit for this year....with the baby coming in December. I hope to remain in this position as long as it is available! I love my new school and feel so at peace there.

Overall, we have had a great time re-connecting with friends, enjoying being close to family, and developing new friendships too! It has been amazing to watch all of the pieces of our journey back home fall into place.

Where We've Been...

This picture was taken at the end of our street in MD.)

Where we've been...

For 4 years Mike and I lived in Lexington Park, Md. Mike worked for NavAir on Patuxent River Naval Base and I taught First Grade in a local elementary school. We adopted our beautiful labrador Lily, because I wanted company and protection while Mike traveled for work. She now weighs 90 pounds and is afraid of her own shadow. (Mike actually had to teach her how to bark!). In June 2006 we relocated from Maryland to Cincinnati to be closer to family.
