Zoo

Saturday we had such a great time visiting with our good friends Larry, Mindy, and OLIVER. They drove all the way from Maryland for a friend's wedding and we were so happy to get to spend some time with them over their busy weekend! This trip to the zoo was extra special because it was our first time meeting their adorable little boy Oliver and the boys first time meeting as well. Needless to say they were super cute together. We enjoyed a beautiful day at the zoo followed by lunch at Skyline Chili! Perfect!!

On the train!

Watching goats...or in Luke-speak "baa, baas"

"Yikes the baa baa is eating my shirt!"

...don't blame me I'm just a kidd...

Beware of alligators!

Luke and Oliver loved watching the polar bear swim!

Luke never actually fed the giraffe this cracker. He just kept teasing him with it so that the giraffe would lick it! He enjoys playing this game with Lily at home!

A rare family picture!

Two tired boys! On the five minute drive from the Zoo to Skyline both boys fell asleep. Luke woke up to eat some cheese (he *loves* the finely shredded cheddar at Skyline!) and a couple bites of his hot dog for lunch but Oliver snoozed through his first Skyline experience. Maybe next time ; )!!

SPRING

I am afraid that once again I have not done a very good job of keeping our blog up to date. I hope that this summer I am able to post a bit more frequently! Here are a few pictures of our biggest spring events…beginning with Easter! The picture above is of of Luke on Easter morning. Despite the sunshine it was actually very chilly. Luke's favorite part of Easter this year were all of the balls (eggs)!!

Memorial Day Weekend was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed finishing up some work on our gardens (Mike has been working hard on a bigger and better vegetable garden!) and spending quality time with friends and family. We had a terrific brunch at Aunt Julie and Uncle Bob's house Monday morning. Luke LOVED playing with all his aunts and uncles and was a very quick learner at the game of whiffle ball ; )!

At the end of May we celebrated with Nate as he graduated from high school. Congratulations Nate!! He is off to UC next year to study Aeronautical Engeinnering.
