Meeting Evan David...
Evan arrived very quickly on Sunday evening. We had decided to spend the morning at the Cincinnati Zoo with Luke, because it would be our last family of 3 adventure before my induction date on Thursday, August 26th. Around 11:00 AM during the Cheetah Encounter my contractions began. We went home to gather our things and arrived at the hospital at about 3:30 PM. Before we knew it at 7:35 PM (but thankfully after a well administered epidural at 5:00 PM) we had Evan in our arms!
Beautiful Baby Toes...
Count them carefully! We are surprised and delighted that Evan has 6 perfectly formed toes on each foot. This genetic trait runs in Mike's family and Evan's toes look just like his Great Aunt Jeanne's toes. So unique, yet so perfect, we almost didn't notice!
Just arrived...Evan has a very sweet disposition. He looks a bit like his big brother Luke, but also is completely himself. We look forward to watching him grow and develop his own special personality.
Evan's stats: 7 pounds & 10 ounces and 21 inches long
Brand New Big Brother...
Luke is so excited to be a big brother. He loves his brother and calls him "my baby Evan." Luke was so sweet Monday morning when he met Evan. With a graham cracker in hand he asked me if he could feed Evan breakfast, but I told him Mommy would take care of feeding Evan! He loved snuggling with him and patting Evan's baby soft hair. Mike and I are feeling very blessed with our two handsome little boys!
