Christmas 2009What a joy to celebrate Christmas with Luke this year! There is nothing better than waking up on Christmas morning anticipating the wonder and fun and celebration seen through your child's eyes. I could hardly wait for Luke to discover his new bike under the tree! We also enjoyed sharing special Christmas traditions...going downtown to see the train display, Festival of Lights at the zoo, decorating the tree, telling the Christmas Story using our nativity (Luke *loved* his nativity set and even took Baby Jesus to bed for naps!), and of course lots of parties with family and friends!!
We had a terrific time celebrating with family and were so blessed by the precious moments we spent with Mike's grandmother on Christmas Eve. Just a few weeks after this picture was taken both my Mimi and Mike's Grandma passed on within 24 hours of each other. We have great peace knowing that they entered the gates of heaven together and are there with Jesus now. Still our hearts are sometimes heavy. We love them both dearly and miss the wisdom, warmth, joy, love, patience, humor, and honesty that they brought to our lives.
