Fall is Here!

There are signs of fall everywhere now! My porch is decorated with red geraniums and the cutest little pumpkin...the only survivor from my attempt at a pumpkin patch in our garden. Leaves are just beginning to change colors and crunch under our feet when we go on walks. Seeing Luke in his Bengals track suit is another reminder that the seasons have changed...no more shorts and Crocs.

Just *love* this sweet smile!

Two little gray squirrels have taken residence in the oak tree on our front lawn. Sitting in our living room you can often hear the plink-plink of acorns hitting our roof as they drop nuts onto the ground below. We even get pelted by these furry fellows when we are out in in our front yard...I know squirrels are territorial but they are obviously unaware of who pays the mortgage. However, collecting the discarded acorns is endless fun for Luke. He likes to find "nuts" and but them in "bowls." I usually keep a bowl or bucket outside just for gathering treasures in our yard and on walks. Love to watch as Luke learns more about his world everyday!
