On Sunday we enjoyed a quick trip in the afternoon to the zoo. It was SO hot outside. Even the animals looked hot. You could tell they were all doing their very best to stay cool. We stayed just long enough to visit the new giraffe exhibit, swing by the children's zoo, and walk through the rain forest trail. The giraffe exhibit is super cool...you really are at eye level with the giraffes. However, they are still a bit shy about coming up to the platform. Hopefully by the end of the summer we will actually get to see them up close. I'm looking forward to going back again soon.

Here we are standing on the giraffe platform. Eventually (when the giraffes start to visit the platform) you will even be able to feed them! I think you feed them special giraffe biscuits. They look a lot like Luke's teether biscuits!
